Simon Drew has been feeling bored in the past few weeks and in between experimenting with hanging canvas underwear he has now cobbled together a paper mache fish which he has stuck on the side of his building. I must admit i do like it.On Friday he had a queue of people trying to get there hands on Maureen Minchin pottery. It was all bit strange and similar to Isabel Marant at H&M. Queuing all afternoon, tickets to go in, limited viewing time and only 2 pieces per customer.

New Season - People Tree

If you are planning a warm getaway but are on a  bit of a tight budget in the holiday wardrobe department then look no further than People Tree. There latest drop has some brilliant holiday staples including the Libby stripe top in red ( now back in stock) and my particular favorite the vintage print cotton trousers. They look really good teamed with the 120% Lino shirts and basic Petit Bateau vests. Perfect on a beach in Italy when your biggest task of the day is having to mooch over to some beach side shack and eat your lunch among lots of chattering tanned Italians. Prices from £45.00

The Canteen at Stokeley Barton

I had a nice surprise when I visited Stokeley Barton farm shop last Sunday. The restaurant has been taken over and is now the Canteen at Stokeley and run by a brilliant lady who on the day also had her daughter working with her too. The menu is nice and simple but does great comfort / hangover food.  Not only is there bus pass Wednesday and Fishy Fridays the other intriguing element is there seems to be a set lunch everyday but you have to turn up sharpish at 1.00pm to get it - set lunch /set time /set price. I like it. If your down in Devon its worth a visit especially as its near Slapton beach and Torcross.
