Each quarter I spend time planning the forthcoming season. Its the nice part of the job. Usually its a complete fantasy list / theme which is usually put on moodboards and can then differ wildly from what I actually buy. One theme that I always come back to is that old school time in the English summer when its warm, lazy and hazy. Afternoon tea, cricket, rambling mansions, beautiful rose strewn gardens, large entrance halls smelling of polish and freshly cut flowers, flowing tea dresses, wide leg trousers, neat knitwear, faded chintz, and crumpled linen. Below was the inspiration including bizarrely Posh Spice who seemed to fit the bill when she appeared in the August edition of Vogue.

The 1 is a small  / medium and the 2 is a medium/large.  East by East West was founded by Korean born designer Sunu Lee who studied at the London College of Fashion and fuses two different cultures and styles into a  modern and unique womenswear line  which is renowned for its clever cutting, flattering fits and use of high quality fabrics

What I particularly liked about this collection where the high waisted, wide legged culotte style trousers in a really thick heavyweight linen ( above). Part field working labourer circa
