As usual time flies and I can hardly believe that its is over 5 years since I first bought Pyrus and 6 years since I stumbled across it in Stella magazine and hunted it down via Fenwicks Bond St.  Looking ahead to next season Pyrus have produced one of the prettiest collections to date with many pieces possessing the same hand writing as the very first collection I bought into way back in 2008.  Who can forget the clown embroided shirt, Voodoo doll skirt and bright blue paisley print chiffon tunic.  If only i had hung onto that last piece.

Trent Alert - You've been Lynched! The Power of Leopard Print

A bold move for Starburst! this season we have bought into a key AW13 trend - Leopard. I have always been a fan of leopard even in interiors and I think if ever there was a time to pick up a bit of Kat Slater inspired chic then the time is now.  Pyrus have introduced the print in a soft olive while East by East West did a killer stretch cotton skirt in a washed grey which will look perfect with black cashmere. Cruise Control

God dam it she was good! check her out!

So the first collections are in actually they have been in for a bit but the weather has been good and I haven't wanted to spoil the fun so this is the first post of..whisper it AW13. But no one wants to think about the fact that Autumn is around the corner so I am seeing these first few drops as the cruise collections. Ahhh cruise collections. Don`t you just love them! think Coco Chanel on board a yacht in the 1930`s. Cruise collections are usually so much better than the actual mainline collections,  and so much more wearable. So my top picks would be the Falcon navy tunic by Pyrus, the oversize cotton shirt in Italian blue by MIH and the chunky moss stitch roll neck by Armor Lux. Basically these are pieces that can be slotted in with your existing summer wardrobe but somehow you will just look a little bit cleaner, smarter and sharper. And in true Starburst tradition there are tons are stripes and a lovely palette of white, navy and mid blue.
